Microsoft Visio Essentials

This one-day training course has been designed to give you all the basics of Visio, so you can start mapping process flow diagrams and creating organisation charts, network diagrams and scaled diagrams (such as room layouts). By the end of the day you will be able to set up, populate, layout, print and export a Visio diagram, and you will be able to create multiple pages with links between them.

This course can be delivered in the classroom or remotely via GoToTraining. Contact us for availability and pricing, or see our Live Online Learning page for our interactive 90-minute webinars that cover specific sessions.

The Small Print

For Live Online Interactive Learning sessions (webinars)

The course will run remotely for a full day consisting of three 90-minute live online sessions with independent work in between.

All learners will need to either install GoToTraining on their machines or use the Web App in a browser (either Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are supported). Full technical requirements are on the GoTo websiteYour link will be included in your joining instructions once you have booked your place — if you haven't received this email then please contact our team.

Learners should log into the training session 10 minutes before the start time to ensure that they have downloaded and set up GoTo correctly. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals.

Your active participation is expected: everyone will be heard and seen throughout, just as they would be if we were in a room together. To be heard, hear and seen you will need a microphone, speakers and camera – if you have a modern laptop that’s all you will need. Remember, you’ll need a quiet place to call from and a decent internet connection is a must.

Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.

For classroom sessions

The course will run from 10am to 4:45pm (lunch is served 1pm to 1:45pm — we offer a choice of 3 cold bowl dishes). Please be careful to arrive by 9:45am for registration and refreshments. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. If you arrive over 30 minutes late you may be asked to leave and attend another day.

We have made our training centre as safe as possible and will be limiting these sessions to just 4 people to ensure that social distancing can take place. You can learn more about what measures we have put in place on our Terms and Conditions page. We may need to cancel these dates if government advice changes or if there is not enough demand — in these instances we will host the session online, with the same date and timings.

Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.
