Today we started the first Drupal pre-apprenticeship programme. The idea of the course is to find school leavers with an interest in and aptitude to coding/web development and help a young person get their foot on the ladder to employment. This intensive two week course will cover the basics of using Drupal, HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. Currently four organisations have committed to taking on an Apprentice, so we will prepare this group of school leavers and get them ready to go out to an interview.
In this brand new workshop, we aim to help you to make the most of your remote meetings. You will learn how to overcome common challenges, such as distraction, tackling difficult issues, managing larger groups and having hybrid meetings, with some attendees in the room and some remote.

The Happy Planner is a brand new planner and learning journal designed by Happy to help you to embody the values and principles of our four-day Happy Workplace Leadership Programme.
Would the gender pay gap be less if salaries were transparent? The average woman at Happy is paid 1.1% more than the average man. I think that’s close enough to count as one of the 9% of companies that pay women and men roughly the same.
In the summer of 1987 I wrote in my diary that I could never imagine being happy again. The newspaper I had helped set up, News on Sunday, was on the verge of collapse. Our 200 employees would lose their jobs and the backers would lose their investment. I felt totally crushed, and close to a breakdown. 30 years on, life feels rather different. Happy is a thriving business. We help people become more productive with their software and we help organisations to create happy, productive workplaces. It gives me a lift every time I walk into our colourful, friendly training centre.
