Leading Remote Teams
We currently offer two separate workshops on Leading Remote Teams. The one day session, divided into two 2-hour parts, is ideal for those who want to take a deep-dive into managing people remotely. It'll help you to build relationships and trust among your team members and accelerate accountability. You'll not only learn the latest thinking, but also get an opportunity to practice a number of skills to enhance remote leadership.
We also offer a condensed two-hour online session that's suitable for those who already manage teams that are widely dispersed or for managers who are now having to do so in response to COVID-19.
These sessions will be delivered online as interactive webinars via Zoom. The facilitator guides learners through the material, encouraging participation and interaction.

Course overview
Currently all of our classroom sessions have been suspended until we receive further government guidance. We have converted the one day classroom workshop into an interactive webinar delivered via Zoom and also added a condensed 2 hour variant. See below for the relevant outlines.
What you will learn
Attending this workshop will enable you to explore the evolving nature of team management by focusing on leading employees remotely. The workshop outlines practical ways how you can overcome challenges in remote team management (for example, in relation to time differences and members not being co-located).
It reinforces the importance of trust and how to develop this in remote teams to accelerate accountability, efficiencies and productivity in these challenging times. The workshop also dives into how you can elevate your communication skills through coaching, effective questioning and listening to create more meaningful relationships within your team.
This two-part workshop will also provide an opportunity to practice some of the models and techniques discussed, in a safe space with feedback from the facilitator and other learners. This experiential approach is key to our learning as it allows you to apply the knowledge obtained to your own practical experience.
By the end of this session, you will:
- Have increased your confidence in being able to create an effective and motivated remote team
- Evaluate the advantages and challenges of dispersed workers whilst assessing your own abilities as a remote manager
- Learn about and practice a set of robust tools, models and techniques to achieve effective performance from your remote team
- Be able to identify ways that coaching, autonomy and trust can lead to increased productivity, well-being and a more adaptable workforce.

The Small Print
For Face-to-Face Live Online Learning
All learners will need to install Zoom on their machines. Full technical requirements are on the Zoom website. Your link will be included in your joining instructions once you have booked your place — if you haven't received this email then please contact our team.
Each of the Zoom sessions will be roughly 2 hours long and include a short break. You should reserve out 10am to 4.30pm in your diary for the learning. This will allow you to join the interactive workshops and have time to reflect and do the assignments in between. We believe immersing yourself in the content for a whole day will create deep learning and lasting impact.
Learners should log into the training session 10 minutes before the start time to ensure that they have downloaded and set up Zoom correctly. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals.
Your active participation is expected: everyone will be heard and seen throughout, just as they would be if we were in a room together. To be heard, hear and seen you will need a microphone, speakers and camera — if you have a modern laptop that’s all you will need. Remember, you’ll need a quiet place to call from and a decent internet connection is a must.
Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.
For classroom sessions
The course will run from 10am to 4:30pm (lunch is served 1pm to 1:45pm — we offer a choice of 3 cold bowl dishes). Please be careful to arrive by 9.45am for registration and refreshments. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. If you arrive over 30 minutes late you may be asked to leave and attend another day.
Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.
The happy Guarantee

If you don’t feel that your training has been useful or if you are unhappy in any way, please get in touch with our Customer Services team within 30 days of the course. We will be happy to offer you additional support and training free of charge to help you to gain the skills you need, or if you’d prefer, a full refund.

Did you know...
...a phone call is five times more effective than an email?
And a Skype call is almost ten times as effective. Despite the immense convenience of emails, they can so easily be met with vague indifference. Reaching out via phone requires people to come to attention, while Skype calls often require scheduling and are therefore taken more seriously.
