This session will leave you confident in being able to create an interactive online meeting that will make you never want to go back to a physical version.

What you will learn

In this interactive two-hour session, you will learn:

  • Breakout Rooms.
Put people into breakout rooms so everybody gets a say. Use chat, move people around and recreate a different set next time.
  • See People.
Keep slides to a minimum. Interact with people in the room
  • Use Chat.
Get responses from everybody, encourage questions and get people to check things offline without having to intervene.
  • Hand gestures.
Get people to physically put their hands up or show numbers of fingers.
  • Surveys.
Create polls with Microsoft Forms, on the spot, to find what the overall view is.
  • Use shared documents.
Teams enables you to switch to Word, Excel, Jamboard, Mural, Slido or anything else that takes your fancy. Get a clear viewpoint from 20 people in two minutes, no need to have everybody speak to find out what they are thinking.
  • Whiteboard.
On the whiteboard or on any document, people can annotate and express their view.
  • Get people to do stuff.
Stuck in a 3 hour session. Take breaks, get people to do stuff — even star jumps!

The Small Print

The course will run remotely for two hours. All learners will need to have an Microsoft 365 for Business account and Microsoft Teams installed. Full technical requirements are on the Microsoft website. Your link will be included in your joining instructions once you have booked your place — if you haven't received this email then please contact our team.

Learners should log into the training session 10 minutes before the start time to ensure that they have downloaded and installed MS Teams correctly. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals.

Your active participation is expected: everyone will be heard and seen throughout, just as they would be if we were in a room together. To be heard, hear and seen you will need a microphone, speakers and camera — if you have a modern laptop that’s all you will need. Remember, you’ll need a quiet place to call from and a decent internet connection is a must.

Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.
