Prices Changing for Leadership and Personal Development Courses

We have reviewed customer feedback from the last year and have improved our Leadership and Personal Development courses to be more consistent, in-line with Happy’s principles and even more effective.

With these improvements, we have also reviewed our pricing structure. Some of the prices for our Leadership and Personal Development programmes will be changing from 1st September 2019.

Overview

  • Improvements to programmes – for example, pre- and post-course materials, plus additional resources for the four-day Happy Workplace Leadership Programme
  • Simplified pricing – brings all courses into the same pricing structure.
  • Some prices lowered – Special Offer courses are now just £95 per person for small charities with less than 15 staff (was £195 for all sectors), and Public Sector organisations now pay the same rate as larger charities (with 31+ staff) in all of our course categories instead of the standard price, recognising that public sector bodies are also non-profits.
  • Pricing comes into effect from 1st September 2019 – bookings made now for sessions scheduled later this year and beyond will be at the existing pricing.

Improvements to our courses

We have reviewed the course content of our programmes. We have made improvements to bring the content in-line with Happy’s principles and the latest thinking.

For example, for our four-day Happy Workplace Leadership Programme, we have now included several surveys before and during the course, eLearning work between sessions, the Happy Learning Journal and Planner, and have created an online portal of resources.

We are also changing the handouts for our programmes following feedback from our delegates to make them more useful after the course as well as higher quality.

All courses held at Happy’s HQ in Aldgate include a hot buffet lunch with a range of side salads, and this will be improving over the next few months.

Simplified pricing

Some of our programmes have previously had different price bands for charities while others are priced by sector, despite offering the same high-quality service. This can be confusing, both for our clients and for our team here!

We have kept the reduced rates for charities based on the number of staff, as well as adding public sector organisations to the price band for larger charities, recognising that they are also non-profit.

Price changes

At Happy, we have endeavoured to keep our course prices competitive – and have not had a price increase in 10 years. Over time we have been increasingly incurring costs that we can no longer absorb. This has meant an increase in some of our standard course prices.

Some of the pricing for our courses has now gone down, making these a more affordable option for learners working for non-commercial organisations. Special Offer courses are now just £95 per person for small charities with less than 15 staff (was £195 per person for all sectors). Public Sector organisations now pay the same rate as larger charities (with 31+ staff) in all of our course categories instead of the standard price, recognising that public sector bodies are also non-profits.

However, even with the increased pricing, we are still cheaper than many of our competitors who offer a lower rated service than we do (according to independent online customer reviews).

These new prices will be coming into effect from 1st September 2019 – courses booked before this date for the rest of 2019 and beyond will be at the existing prices, so this is a perfect time to book your Leadership and Personal Development training.

Personal Development

Happy’s public courses are held at our HQ in Central London. All prices include a hot buffet lunch and our famous ice cream break in the afternoon.

Standard Private Group Courses, Held at Happy or at Your Workplace

All public courses can be held as private in-house group courses, held either at Happy's HQ or at your workplace — or another venue. For venues within London, there is no additional charge. For anything outside of London, we charge travel expenses, as well as overnight expenses (if required) for your facilitator.

All private course prices are for up to 12 delegates, per day of training. Half-day courses are charged at 75% of the full-day cost. Customisation costs start from £300-500 per day (confirmed once you have had your initial consultation with a facilitator to assess the time required). Prices do not include VAT.

These new prices will come into effect from 1st September 2019. Any bookings made now for later in 2019 and beyond will be charged at the existing prices.

We also offer vouchers which can offer an additional saving if you are buying in bulk. Vouchers are valid for five years from date of purchase and can be redeemed against any of our services, including our courses, workplace consultancy and eLearning. This means you can spend and secure your learning budget now but receive the sessions at a later date — and will receive up to 15% of additional vouchers to spend with us when you’re ready.
