
This course is for committee members from a diverse range of voluntary and Community Organisations and Tenant and Residents Associations.
Overview
This course increases participant’s knowledge and confidence in undertaking the important role of governance. By keeping up to date Committee members will increase the resilience and sustainability of their organisations.
Objectives
By the end of the course participants should
- Understand a legal structures for voluntary and Community organisations.
- Be able to manage the responsibilities and liabilities of their role.
- Have an understanding of financial systems and responsibilities.
- Have developed a strategy for undertaking planning.

The ‘Small Print’
The course will run from 10am to 4:45pm (light cold buffet 1pm to 1:45pm). Please be careful to arrive by 9.45am for registration and refreshments. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. If you arrive over 30 minutes late you may be asked to leave and attend another day.
