For IndividualsIf you want a recognised qualification that will get your CV noticed, or you simply want to get comfortable with using a home PC, ECDL is the course for you.
An Italian study found that ECDL/ICDL certification gives a total return on investment of £2261 per person per year. Can you afford not to try it?
The ECDL is equivalent to a GCSE grade B and gives students confidence in real-life applications. Site Licenses enable you to enrol as many students (or staff) as you wish.
What is ECDL?
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or International Computer Driving License (ICDL) is an internationally recognised computer skills certification programme, spanning some sixty countries. It’s become an industry standard that every office worker can achieve and benefit from.
Basic ECDL has seven Modules:
- IT Security Level 1 (ECDL) or Concepts of Information and Communication Technology (ICDL)
- IT User Fundamentals (ECDL) or Using the Computer and Managing Files (ICDL)
- Word Processing
- Using Databases
- Web Browsing and Communication
When a candidate registers to start ECDL they receive a ‘passport’ on which the progress through the seven tests is recorded. When all seven modules are completed, they’ve passed!
If you want to move onto the next stage after passing your basic ECDL, you can try ECDL Advanced and become an expert user.
