This course is designed to make clear what can, and what cannot, be achieved with social media tools and to leave you confident to get up and running...

By the end of the course you will be confident in how to use to integrate a range of social media tools to get your message out there.
What you will learn
By the end of the course you will:
- Understand what blogs, tweets and LinkedIn profiles are and how they can help you
- Have created a blog and be able to add new posts
- Be clear on what makes an effective blog post
- Have set up a LinkedIn profile
- Understand how to use LinkedIn to connect to people and promote yourself and your organisation
- Have set up a Twitter account
- Be able to follow people of interest and know how to generate followers for yourself
- Know what makes a useful tweet and how to use twitter to support your blogs and LinkedIn presence
- Understand how to integrate these social media tools to create an online presence and support your message
Requirements
Delegates must be confident in using a mouse and familiar with the web. No previous experience of social media is needed.

The ‘Small Print’
The course will run from 10am to 4:45pm (light cold buffet 1pm to 1:45pm). Please be careful to arrive by 9.45am for registration and refreshments. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. If you arrive over 30 minutes late you may be asked to leave and attend another day.
