This assessment is designed for those who want to update their trainer accreditation and qualify for professional membership of the Institute of IT Training. It is available for private bookings only.
Aims
By the end of the event you will have been assessed on a 30 minute session against the IITT’s TPMA standards and received feedback. This standard is very rigorous, so please be aware that even if you have passed previous accreditations first time, you may need to attend more than once or attend one of our training courses to achieve a pass
What will happen
- You will deliver a pre-prepared 30 minute session in Word or Excel (any version) to the other delegates attending the event (minimum 3 delegates and maximum 4 delegates).
- You will receive 1 to 1 feedback on your session.
- You will find out whether or not you have passed on the day and receive a full feedback report a few days later.
- If you have passed your TPMA you will then need to pay the IITT £95 plus VAT for them to issue you with your certificate, this includes one years membership of the IITT (If you are already a member then the fee is £50 plus vat).
Requirements
You need to be confident that you can train in line with the nine competencies of TPMA (Please contact us if you’d like us to send them to you. If unsure, we recommend the TPMA Essentials or TPMA Conversion course.
You will also need to pre-prepare a 30 minute complete session including lesson plan (example attached), with introductions and objectives, a learning section, plus recap and exercise. You will be training fellow participants who may come from all kinds of backgrounds, so please select a topic that does not require any special previous knowledge. We will have Office 2003 and 2007 available as well as full access to the internet, if you require any other software for your training session please contact us in advance to check.
The ‘Small Print’
The event will run for approximately 4 hours depending on the number of people in the group. The event will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. If you arrive over 30 minutes late you may be asked to leave and attend another day.
