IT Application Specialist Apprenticeships: Funded IT Training and Certification
This is on offer, fully funded by the government if you qualify. It includes certification to achieve a City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma for IT Users.
Classroom Training Included
The IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship qualification includes the following classroom courses:
Word: Create a report, including images, Tables, a Table of Contents and Headers & Footers.- Excel: Create a budget spreadsheet, including formulas, charts and using filters.
- PowerPoint: Create a presentation, including images, charts and automated slides.
- Outlook: compress attachments, create a signature, use out of office, schedule meetings and create an email distribution. list
- Publisher: Create newsletters and leaflets.
- Access: Create a database, create queries, create and format reports.
All of the above classroom training is available in Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007

Length
11 days of classroom training, plus coaching and support.
Timescale
5-9 months, depending on the existing level of IT skills.
Cost
Funding is available to anyone that meets all the following conditions:
- Is an EU citizen.
- Is in employment.
- Is aged 19 or over.
- Does not have a level 4 qualification or a degree.
